Indian Superstitious
Superstitious even it starts with the word 'super' which always point to a positive or much admiring aspects among the society such as 'superman', 'superstar', and so on, but this superstitious is an elements which must be totally hatred by our society.
 | It is a fact that Indians practice many superstitious as their beleif. For rationalists, such beliefs are an indication of a weak mind. Of course many beliefs in Indian society are carried out since thousands of years ago and the motive of this page is not to critisize or against all of it but to aware the society to analyse few of it which affects majorly the community. There are some partys gaining benefits through this supertitious, but the majority are in losing side. They not only losing money but together with their self confidence. Simply when we about to caryy out any chores/task in the life we must have confidence. The confidence level is up to the level of the challenge we will have to face. But normally most of the human doesnt have that much of confidence of winning any situation, mostly it will be like 50:50 or 70:30 or sometime it go worst to 10:90. At this point the instinct which merely makes things happen will be more weak. |
And thats the time an external object need for accept the transformation of the confidence/instinct which needed to winning any situation to our favour. For an example, lime which is prayed with 'viboothi' and so on is kept for the safety, in this case we transform the confidence of 'always in safe mode' to another object. But we have to remember that is a short cut. We cant always depend on a lime or the person who gave that lime. Confidence is something that have to be exist in the self and that is permanent. When any of the person who depend to the sacred lime and if he happens to attend at any emergancy task at any desert such as Afganistan or something he will not be able to find lime but if he wants he can use the cactus indeed. Does Obama done all this lime stuffs to gain confidence till reach to a status as President of America? Try read his biography and if he is an Indian he would need 1000 kilo of limes to overcome his obstacles and problems in his life. |  |
Tamil Nadu - A man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony as an attempt to atone for stoning two other dogs to death ? an act he believes cursed him ? a newspaper reported Tuesday.
The paper said an astrologer (THE CULPRIT) had told Selvakumar the wedding was the only way he could cure the maladies. It did not say whether his situation had improved.
Deeply superstitious people in rural India sometimes organize weddings to dogs and other animals, believing it can ward off certain curses.
The paper said the groom and his family then had a feast, while the dog got a bun.
But there is also a serious thing to consider. Richard Dawkings in his book 'The God delusion' lumps all believing persons in the same category as this guy. He says that what we are doing by praying, fasting, attending worship etc. is nothing more than this kind of superstition. Well Richard Dawkings thinks like that, its up to him.
Anyway we must be grateful as this kind of things doesnt happen at Malaysia even there is rumours saying some Indians had washed (Patha Pooja) Ayah Pin's leg at one of the very famous temple at KL. But i think that is ok, he might have dirt at the leg and someone help to clean it, it shows our Malaysian unity.
 | Does the cawing of a crow really brings death to a family?? Well some peoples make use of this scenario to make money, thats the truth. When the crow caw we loss the confidence and when we loss confidence we seek the service of the priest or astrologer and it will be charged. At last we will loss money and confidence. My father use to tell a phrase in Tamil which sounds ' Manathe athe senmaiyage irunthal, manthiranggal jabipathe yetherkke?'. It means when our heart or our instinct/confidence level is very strong then we will not even need to depend on any 'mantra' (holy words) and any supertition acts. The question is, are we that strong? Well we have to determine that. A little bit of medition might be useful to gain that i think, but it is up the individual.

Once there was a lovely couple. They were so attached and love each other very much. One day the lady passed away and the guy promised to the lady that he will not get married again in his entire life. After few years, when he faced many changes and chalengges in his life and he happens to remarry again. On that night his ex-wife appeared to him aggresively. And it continues daily until his life start to get miserable with confusion and guiltyness. One day he met a Spiritual Guru and the guru advice him to grasp some grains and if the ex-wife appeared, ask her to calculate the numbers of grain in his hand. The guy did as told by the Guru and since that day the ex-wife doesnt appeared. Well you should know why she never appear after that, dont you? Well, i think the ex-wife must be a projection of his own mind through his guilty feelings, and when asked to calculate the numbers of grains the mind is distracted to solve a question before do the projection again.
Well, scare to ghost all the time and keep find the remedy to chase it out, concern on crow cawings, worshiping limes , marry a dog would be not a big issue compare to the discrimination against woman in the name of superstition beleifs.

Indian ladies are the most who use many accesories, make-ups, flowers as decorations and many more and losses all of it after the husband passed away. Indian ladies had been forced to be burn to death together with their husband's body once, but later after the community became more intelectual it is not practiced anymore. But they are still being burn mentally and indirectly by the society even at this modern era. They are being discriminate mostly at all events, especially, wedding, new baby born ceremony, engagement, and many more events.
